Welcome! Breathe Los Gatos offers the most diverse yoga programming in the Bay Area to support your health at every level: 90 classes in a variety of styles of yoga per week, chi gong and tai chi, breath and meditation, body work and nutritious drinks and snacks at our Mandala Tea House. These guidelines will support you in navigating your experience at Breathe.
NEW TO YOGA:
We encourage you to join Breathe as a member because when you make the commitment, you are more likely to achieve your goals. Plus, if you come more than twice a week, it’s the most cost effective way to go! In order to get a membership, sign up in person at the studio. A Visa/MC are required for all monthly memberships. Your card will be billed monthly until you cancel by email. We take very good care of our members so you will receive discounts and special opportunities all year around. And yes, we also offer drop-in rates, memberships and class packages.
Parental consent: Students must be over the age of 14 in order to practice in our group classes. If you are between 14 and 17 years old, please bring a waiver signed by your parent / guardian on your first visit.
SIGNING UP FOR A CLASS:
To ensure space in the class, sign up online. Our secure online system allows you to purchase classes and sign up for workshops, manage your account, see teacher substitutions and holiday schedules. You can make purchases, see all of your transactions, print receipts, check your class attendance and change any account information securely from your computer. On our website, look for “online class sign up” under the drop down menu.
You can also drop in for a class, although to ensure your space in the class we recommend signing up online. Our friendly front desk staff will sign you in and direct you to the appropriate room, either Luna or Sola.
If our website is not available to you, please call the front desk. You may reach us at 408.370.YOGA. Ask to be signed in to the class of your choice.
ARRIVING FOR CLASS:
Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early to class to allow time for check-in. If you have pre-registered for a class and have not arrived 5 minutes before it begins, your spot will be opened to people on the wait list for that class. This is especially true with flight classes, as it takes time to setup the swing heights for each person and the number of spaces are limited.
We have ample parking available in the parking lot in front of Breathe. Just off highway 85, we are extremely accessible! There is also plenty of parking behind the studio in the very rare instance that the front lot is full.
KEYCHAIN BAR CODE
If you are a member, you will have a keychain barcode, which expedites the class check-in process. Please write your name on the sign-in sheet at the front desk and we will scan your keychain barcode to check you in to your class. Wait until it beeps and they confirm you’re set, and which room your class will be in.>i would delete this
Breathe practices a 5 minute grace period. Anyone arriving more than 5 minutes after class has started will have to wait for the next class to begin.
We believe that a yoga class is a journey meant to have a beginning, middle and end. We kindly request that if on the special occasion you must leave before the class ends, please let the teacher know at the beginning of class and place your mat near the door so you can leave with minimal class disruption.
Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that will allow you to move with ease. For hot classes, we recommend clothes that will wick away sweat. Avoid bulky t-shirts and clothing that will hang heavy when wet or fall over your head if turned upside down. We have fantastic yoga clothing at Breathe and we’re happy to help you find what you need. Our shower bathrooms are the perfect place to change your clothes if you are arriving from work, or need to go back to work.
Yoga is practiced in bare feet. Please leave your shoes in our cubbies in the main lobby. Your valuables are best left at home, but you may rent a locker from us at the front desk.
We sell the best mats made. We offer rental mats for $2, but your mat is your place to practice and we encourage having your own. If you are taking a hot class like hot vinyasa, hot tapas and power yoga, bring a towel. We rent towels, and we sell fantastic towels as well. Bring a water bottle. We provide a filtered water hydration station for you to fill up your bottle as needed, as well as a huge selection of drinks from our to-go fridge. Try not to drink too much water while you are practicing because the heat you are generating in your body helps to get rid of toxins in the body. When you arrive in the room, get a strap and a block from the closet to support your practice.
The Mandala Tea House was created to provide a place where you can enjoy a beverage and a snack with your friends, use our free wireless, and relax a little bit. We offer regular workshops on eating well and our lobby is large because we care about everyone knowing and enjoying each other.
LOST AND FOUND
Please come in and inquire about lost items as soon as you notice you are missing something. The lost and found gets donated once a month.
Private sessions are the best way to learn about the entire practice of yoga and what is best for your body. Whether you are healing an injury, a beginner wanting to learn more, or an advanced practitioner, you will dramatically improve your alignment and awareness, bringing greater strength, flexibility and well being to your practice. WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS
We invite national and international teachers to conduct workshops on specific aspects of the practice. These workshops are an additional fee and are not included in the regular group class packages or memberships. Go to our Workshops page regularly to stay updated on who is coming to our studio.
It's important to wear appropriate clothing for flying yoga. Short sleeves or sleeveless tops are recommended. Please remove jewelry before class including large rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. Do not wear any clothing with zippers, rhinestones, studs or anything that could snag the hammocks.
WORKSHOP REFUND POLICY
A full refund is available up to one week before the workshop date begins. If you cancel 72 hours before the workshop date, we will refund you studio credit only. If you do not cancel with at least 72 hours notice, you are not eligible to receive a refund.
When you sign up for a membership, you agree with your signature to honor the length of commitment for the time of that membership. That being said, serious extenuating circumstances do occur, and Breathe will accommodate those situations on a case by case basis.
How the cancellation process works:
- Within 15 days of receiving your emailed request, you will receive a confirmation that we have received the request.
- If your termination request has been accepted, your account will be terminated within 30 days of your original request. If your request is not granted (because we do offer yoga for everyone for all levels of practice and at all stages of life), you will be notified.
*There will be no pro-rating of memberships during this time. Any membership charges that occur during this process will be honored in full to Breathe.
**In case of injury, we offer Wellness and restorative classes as well as excellent bodywork. Please let the front desk know if you need help creating a new schedule of classes to accommodate an injury. This way we can work together to be sure your needs are met.
There are physical, mental, and emotional conditions that are outside of our scope during our regular offerings. To support the welfare of our community, we reserve the choice to withdraw our services if we are not able to accommodate your unique conditions.
